My name is Jason Marty. I’m a passionate graphic and web designer, and started my company, Intervision Design, in 1995. Since then we have been involved in helping high profile clients as well as small business and community initiatives with branding and marketing for a multitude of projects. Over the years, we’ve built hundreds of well-designed, highly regarded websites using many different systems.

I’m going to introduce you to a method of creating a website for yourself by using a great website backbone called WordPress. In writing this course I wanted to try and cover as many of the options available to enable you to set up a functional, visually stunning website. For me, WordPress is the obvious choice.

WordPress designs are called themes. Themes can be custom built depending on a particular design or they can simply be downloaded and installed to change the look of your website. Whilst there are many themes both paid and freely available, many of them are difficult to use or lack features which I regard as necessary.

So we built one ourselves which we think covers pretty much all you will need, it includes a fabulous page builder and it’s called Chameleon.

During the module you will download and install Chameleon, and on completion of the course should have a fabulous content rich website.

This module is suitable for people both experienced and new to WordPress.

If you want to create a professional website, but don’t want to get into coding, then it will be perfect for you. It would be helpful to have a bit of design sense and computer literacy, but not essential. This course is easy to follow in a step by step procedure, but even if you do get stuck, don’t give up! I am here to help; I am just a quick message away.
