Hackers will use the standard URLs for easy access to your site!
The WordPress default is /wp-admin at the end of your domain name.
If we change this to something else it’s another roadblock for the hackers to work around.
So let’s do it!
- Go to Security > Settings
- Click Advanced
- Click Hide the Backend
- As the suggestion of ‘_wplogin’ is also an easy one for Hackers – change the slug to something else unique and memorable (remember you need to know what this is to get into your websites admin!!) I usually leave the _wplogin and put another word in front of it like border-style: solid;.
